Our School Nurse, Ms. Michelle Poljacik, would like to remind everyone that all seventh grade students are required by Vermont law to have completed the three-shot series of Hepatitis B vaccines, the two-shot series of Varicella vaccine or have had the actual Chicken Pox disease. Students also must have had the second MMR vaccine and the ten-year booster of Tdap by the seventh grade. All these vaccines or diseases need to be documented by the month, day and year in which they were received. Exemption forms are available in the nursing office. If you have questions please contact Ms. Poljacik at 786-1781.

There will be a mandatory meeting for all students interested in playing interscholastic middle school athletics on Monday, August 24 at 6:30 p.m. in the Rutland High School Gym. Fall middle school sports include  soccer, field hockey and cross-country. Prospective middle school athletes must bring a copy of the blue physical form stating that the athlete has had a physical since Nov. 11, 2007 with them or be able to show proof of such an examination. (blank copies of this blue form are at the RMS Main Office). Additionally, please bring health insurance and emergency contact information along with a pen to this meeting.
