Rutland Middle School finished as Vermont State Champion for both 7^th and 8^th grade in the 2009 New England Mathematics League Competition! Taylor Ampatiellos, Matthew Abatiell, and Dominic Tadio finished in 2^nd, 3^rd, and 4^{th place} respectively, for the state.  The 8^th grade team not only was the top team for Vermont, but it finished tied for 28 out of 144 schools from across New England.  Josh Wight was the top student for Vermont and tied for fourth among all the students that participated across New England. As a result, Josh traveled to Orlando to participate in the national competition. Congratulations to all of these high-achieving students and to their adviser, RMS Math teacher, Mr. Josh Bunker.
