Students recently packed up the clay ornaments the RMS Art Club made for the Capital Holiday Tree Ornament Project-Vermont‚s gift to the Nation’s Capitol. The theme this year is “Bringing an Old Fashioned Holiday to the Nation”. Vermont will be sending the 60 + foot tree to Washington DC along with 60 room-size companion trees. The RMS students made snowflakes, snowmen, doves, stars and gingerbread men to help decorate the companion trees. Each student who submitted an ornament was eligible to enter a drawing to win a trip to Washington DC for the official tree lighting in early December.
