Rutland High School Report
Rutland High School
School Report 2007-2008
A message to our students from Rutland High School Principal Peter Folaros:
The Rutland High School Report contains basic information which we enjoy sharing with our community and information which is required by to be publicized by the State. Should any members of the RHS family wish to gain a deeper understanding of anything within this text and report, they are invited to contact the school administration.
This year Rutland High School welcomes our outstanding students and our ongoing work on the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) accreditation process. The process will come to a benchmark point this spring when we host an evaluation team in April.
As we move through the early stages of our year, we expect students to be aware of this accreditation process (which is called self study). We also encourage students to get involved with it to the extent possible. You will find our new Mission and Expectations in our student handbook and within this report. You will get more exposure to them as we move through the year.
There is an abundance of good important information in our student handbook. Please familiarize yourself with it. “Gee, Mr. Lattanzi, I didn’t know I couldn’t do that…” is not a good excuse at RHS. We know our students are smarter than that.
Remember:
- Respect others, as you would have them respect you. We are a diverse group of
- individuals and need to respect that diversity if we are to function well together.
- Take your education seriously and use your knowledge productively.
Note: Parents, you may review our handbook on K-12 Planet. If you do not have an account, please contact Debra Lane at 770-1079. It is also available in the Resources section of this site.
Have a great year,
Mr. Folaros
