Recently, the Vermont Department of Education announced a list of schools which are eligible under federal guidelines to receive additional funds to continue school improvement efforts. While Rutland High School appreciates the opportunity to fund its continued efforts to serve our students better, the funding comes with a designation that we feel does not at all reflect the good work that our staff and students do here.

The Rutland High School Alpine Ski Team capped off an impressive season on March 4, 2010 by winning the Girls’ State Championships. This win was extremely exciting due to the fact that the boys’ team won their state championship the preceding Monday at Sugarbush Mountain. This is the first time since 2001 the boys have won the state championship. On the other hand, this states win for the girls was their fourth straight.

Rutland High School music students will be performing in three separate “Music In Our Schools Month” concerts.
