Citywide Discussion
A group of local agency representatives from Rutland county will join together to offer a public informational meeting regarding Vermont’s Sex Offender Registry, as well as the new Rutland City Child Safety Ordinance.
The event will take place on November 12 at the College of St. Joseph’s, in Tuttle Hall, from 6:30 – 8:00pm.
The meeting will host a panel of speakers to include: Sheri Englert, Director of VT Sex Offender Registry; three representatives from the Agency of Human Services Department of Corrections; a representative from the Rutland City Police Department.
* Light refreshments will be provided *

Parking
Please remember that all parents should park only in the designated spaces. Drivers should also wait in the car-rider line when dropping off or picking their children up each day. Please NEVER pull out of line to pass parked cars, as this is extremely dangerous and can result in an accident or injury to our children.
Upcoming Events
October 31 – Halloween Parade for NW students. Parents are invited to join us on the playground at 2:30pm. Classroom parties are as scheduled.
Rutland City Halloween Parade @ 6pm!
November 4 – Election Day! NW and PPLC students will participate in a “Mock Election.” Students will vote for a school mascot and also for the President of the U.S.
November 5 – NW PTC meeting @ 4pm. Daycare is provided. Agenda items include: Holiday make-it-or take-it event, holiday sing-along, and Stuff-a-Bus campaign.
November 7 – Stuff-a-Bus efforts begin. Please bring in your non-perishable food items!!
November 10 & 11 – No school for students. Teacher in-service.
November 11 – No school for students or teachers. Veteran’s Day holiday.
November 13 – Stuff-a-Bus collection complete. Top 2 classrooms “Stuff” the Rutland City bus at 10am.
November 18 – Students travel to the Paramount Theatre to see “Max and Ruby” performance.
November 20 – School Spirit Day! Students should wear clothing to support their favorite college or professional sports team!
November 21 – Thanksgiving Feast at NW school.
November 25 – Grade 2 students travel to Castleton College to see “Hiawatha” performance.
November 26-28 – No school for Thanksgiving Holiday
