FUND-RAISER: At the start of the school year we have our ONE and ONLY fund-raiser. The money raised is used to support various activities during the year. You will read about some of these activities below.

BIRTHDAY LUNCH: On the last Friday of the month, a special table is set up in the cafeteria. Students who have a birthday during that month are invited to sit at the Birthday Table and enjoy a piece of birthday cake.

BOOK FAIRS: Twice a year, we hold a Scholastic Book Fair. The timing of this event coincides with Parent/Teacher Conferences. Everyone is welcome to come and select books and other items.

HOLIDAY DINNERS: Three times per year we have a special dinner where the entire school has lunch together. These dinners are held the week before Thanksgiving, the week before Christmas, and the week before April Vacation. Because the whole school is together at this time, there is not enough room for parents to join in.

CRAFT NIGHT: During the first week of December we hold a Family Craft Night. Northeast families are invited to come to school for an evening of making crafts together.

GROCERY BINGO: Held in the month of March, Grocery Bingo is a fun night out for the family. You can play Bingo and win a basket of groceries. There are special kids-only games, too. This is a very popular event and is open to Northeast students and their families only.

PICNIC WITH A BOOK: Members of the community are invited to come to Northeast to read to the students. The children listen to a guest reader, have a picnic lunch and listen to a second guest reader.

HALLOWEEN PARADE: Usually held the Friday before Halloween. The students bring their costumes to school. Toward the end of the day, everyone puts on their costumes – teachers too! All the classes head outside and parade around a circle so everyone can see their costume. Parents are welcome to come and watch the parade.

FUN DAY: The students spend the day enjoying outdoor activities such as relay races, volleyball, obstacle course, soccer, kickball, parachute, bubbles, and temporary tattoos. A BBQ is also held for the students. We need LOTS of parent volunteers for this special day.

MATH NIGHT: An evening of fun math games for the whole family.
